Unlike a traditional RAID rebuild, resilvering copies allocated data alone rather than every sector of the device. A _sequential resilver_ (`zpool attach -s` or `zpool replace -s`) rebuilds mirror and dRAID vdevs even faster by copying blocks in disk order, skipping checksum verification and deferring it to an automatically scheduled scrub.
