At the moment proper DNS information for the connecting host is the only check in place but that may change. Some people blame these checks for bouncing valid email. To have these checks turned off for your email, create a file named [.filename]#~/.spam_lover# on `freefall.FreeBSD.org`. Cherry picking merge commits into stable/XX presents an additional difficulty because there are two parents for a merge commit. Generally, you'll want the first parent's diff since that's the diff to `main` (though there may be some exceptions).
